Job description
Art Technician – Creative Secondary School – Canterbury (Kent) Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a creative and organised Art Technician to join a creative secondary school in Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity to support a thriving Art department and contribute to high-quality creative education. The successful candidate will prepare materials, maintain studio spaces and support teaching staff during practical lessons. You will play a key role in ensuring students have access to high-quality resources and a safe working environment. This role requires strong organisation, creativity and a proactive approach. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated School in Canterbury with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse and creative community, where students are encouraged to express themselves and develop artistic skills. The Art department is well-resourced and plays a key role in the school’s success. Staff benefit from strong leadership and a collaborative professional culture. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare materials and equipment for lessons • Maintain and organise studio spaces • Support practical Art sessions • Manage stock and supplies • Ensure health and safety compliance • Assist with displays and exhibitions Requirements: • Art-related experience or qualification • Strong organisational skills • Creative mindset • Knowledge of health and safety • Ability to work independently and in a team • School experience (desirable) Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
