Job description
Job Title: Part-Time Estate Agent / Sales Negotiator.
Employer: Mayfair Estate Agent (Grimsby) Ltd.
Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
Contract Type: Part-Time.
Hours: 20 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Reporting To: Branch Manager.

Our team is passionate about property and dedicated to building long-term relationships with our clients. We are now looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join us on a part-time basis as an Estate Agent / Sales Negotiator.

Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our sales and lettings operation. You will be the first point of contact for many of our clients and will be responsible for delivering an exceptional experience from initial enquiry through to completion. The role is well suited to someone with experience in estate agency, sales, or customer-facing environments who is looking for a flexible, rewarding part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register new applicants and match them to suitable sales and lettings properties on the market.
  • Arrange and conduct property viewings, presenting properties professionally and enthusiastically.
  • Negotiate offers between buyers and sellers, and between landlords and tenants, working to achieve the best outcome for all parties.
  • Manage applicant and vendor/landlord communications throughout the sales and lettings process.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, and local networking.
  • Support branch growth targets by contributing to valuation leads and instructions.
  • Promote and cross-sell additional services including mortgage advice, conveyancing, and insurance products.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service at every client touchpoint, upholding the Mayfair brand values.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the property management system.
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Support colleagues across the branch as required.

Person Specification:
  • Experience in estate agency, sales, or customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Target-driven with a proactive, self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and databases.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with estate agency software (e.g. Alto).

Terms And Conditions:
  • Salary: Up to £15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Hours: 20 hours per week — working pattern to be agreed.
  • Holiday: Pro-rata annual leave entitlement in line with statutory requirements.
  • Start Date: To be agreed.
