Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company solving the world’s most challenging problems. The company harnesses quantum mechanics to build and integrate quantum computers, sensors, and networks. From fundamental physics to leading edge commercial products, Infleqtion enables “quantum everywhere” through our ecosystem of devices and platforms. Our mission is to commercialise atom-based quantum products that provide orders of magnitude improvements in performance and computing applications.

Location

Infleqtion has offices in the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. This is a full-time position in our Kidlington, Oxford office. Work from home permitted up to 2 days per week based on business needs and manager approval.

Role Overview

The Operations & Inventory Manager is responsible for leading operational execution and inventory strategy to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable business operations. This role combines hands-on ownership of inventory and supply chain processes with broader operational leadership, with a strong focus on driving business excellence through continuous improvement, performance management, and process optimisation.

Working cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, finance, and project teams, the role ensures that materials, components, and equipment are available when needed, while also enhancing operational workflows, strengthening governance, and embedding best practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operational execution across inventory, logistics, and material flow.
  • Ensure operational readiness to support project delivery timelines and business priorities.
  • Drive alignment across procurement, engineering, finance, and delivery teams.
  • Own and improve operational workflows to support efficiency and scalability.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee the management and tracking of inventory, including raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and define reorder points to ensure continuity of supply without overstocking.
  • Ensure inventory processes support both current operations and future growth.

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of materials.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain risks, delays, or disruptions.
  • Optimise logistics processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Operational Excellence & Business Performance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and operational processes.
  • Establish, track, and report on key operational KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, turnover, fulfilment efficiency, lead times).
  • Implement standardised processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Use data and insights to identify inefficiencies and drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Support the development of scalable operational practices aligned with company growth.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse organisation, and operational workflows.
  • Implement best practices such as cycle counting, stock audits, and process standardisation.
  • Reduce waste, obsolescence, and excess inventory through structured improvements.
  • Introduce continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean principles where appropriate).

Data & Reporting

  • Generate regular inventory and operational performance reports for leadership.
  • Analyse trends and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Support forecasting and planning activities through accurate data and reporting.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure inventory handling and operational processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation of inventory systems, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Support operational governance by tracking delivery risks, dependencies, and performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure material availability and operational support.
  • Partner with finance on inventory valuation, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Support operational planning and contribute to broader business and supply chain strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, inventory management, supply chain, or logistics roles.
  • Proven experience managing inventory systems and supply chain processes.
  • Experience driving operational improvements and process optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies and supply chain best practices.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced or technical environments.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, or deep-tech environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse/inventory management tools.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, supply chain management).
  • Experience supporting scaling operations in a growing organisation.

Benefits

In addition to your base compensation, we offer a generous Total Rewards program which includes:

  • Competitive salary
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Generous company 10% pension contribution regardless of employee contribution
  • Cycle to work and Technology schemes
  • Incentive Stock Option Plan
