Job description
IT Support Technician Location: Brighton & Hove, Sussex Salary: Up to £30,000 + benefits Hours: Full-time — Monday to Friday Role Profile Placr Recruitment is looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join a respected technology company based in the Brighton & Hove area. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in IT and technical support. You'll provide essential first-line technical assistance to internal teams and customers while working in a friendly, supportive environment that values your growth and development. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support to internal teams and customers (hardware, software, and system queries) Handle product and application questions both pre- and post-sale Log, track, and resolve technical issues, escalating when necessary Manage product returns and repairs in line with ISO procedures Assist with product testing, compliance checks, and documentation Support internal training and knowledge sharing Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Skills & Experience Required Relevant technical qualification or hands-on experience in engineering, IT, or computer-based systems Previous experience in technical support, helpdesk, or customer-facing support Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Clear and professional written and verbal communication Proactive, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
