As a Kitchen Porter you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, as well as assisting with basic food preparation. The role will be based at Brambletye Independent School in the heart of the Sussex countryside, overlooking the Ashdown Forest - East Grinstead As a Kitchen Porter you will be entitled to the following benefits : * Free Meals whilst on duty * Career development opportunities * Reward and recognition schemes * Employee Benefits Platform * Employee assistance programme * HIT Apprenticeships for all experience levels * Team events scheduled throughout the year * 28 Holiday days inclusive of bank holidays * Cycle to work scheme * Recommend a friend scheme * Work Life Balance * Competitive Salary *Job Description* Salary : 13.00 per hour Working 3 or 4 days over 7 Shift hours- 7am-14.30 or 11am - 19.30 22 Hours per week *Key Responsibilities : * * Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sinks, countertops, and floors. * Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. * Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed. * Assist with waste management and recycling. * Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients. * Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use. * Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. * Ability to work as part of a team. * Good communication skills. *Additional Information* Holroyd Howe is an equal opportunities employer.
