Academics is recruiting a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Specialist School in Mid Sussex, supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis.
\n

Your Role\n
As a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:
\n
\n - Provide dedicated support to one pupil throughout the school day.
\n - Adapt learning activities to suit the pupil's individual needs.
\n - Encourage communication, emotional regulation and social development.
\n - Build a positive, trusting relationship that enables the pupil to thrive.
\n - Work closely with teachers, therapists and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes.
\n
\n
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and complex learning needs.
What We're Looking For\n
\n - A minimum of 6 months' experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
\n - Experience within a school, nursery, care or support setting is desirable.
\n - A calm, patient and positive approach.
\n - The ability to build strong relationships and remain resilient in challenging situations.
\n - An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
\n - Two professional references.
\n
