Job description
A Performance Engineer to join GT Wings, one of the UK's most exciting clean shipping technology companies. If your background involves working with real world engineering data, telemetry or industrial systems, this is a rare opportunity to shape how performance is measured, understood and improved across a growing fleet of commercial vessels. . GT Wings is at a pivotal stage of growth. With its first full scale AirWing installation complete and multiple commercial projects underway, the company is scaling from prototype into repeatable production and global deployment. Engineering led and purpose driven, GT Wings combines innovation with precision to deliver powerful, class compliant hardware that helps decarbonise global shipping. . As their Performance Engineer, you will own the end to end data and insight pipeline across the AirWing fleet. You will design how operational data flows from onboard systems through to internal engineering tools and customer facing reporting, ensuring performance is captured accurately and translated into meaningful insight. . This role is both technical and commercial. You will build and maintain data pipelines, develop dashboards and reporting tools, and translate complex datasets into clear conclusions that drive engineering improvements, reliability decisions and validated fuel saving claims. You will play a central role in closing the loop between real world operation and product development. . Working closely with engineering, software and commercial teams, you will continuously improve how data is structured, automated and applied as the fleet scales. . To qualify: You should be a Performance Engineer, Data Engineer, Marine Performance Analyst, Industrial Data Engineer, Fleet Performance Engineer or similar with a CV that demonstrates: . Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Data Science, Physics or a related technical discipline Solid experience working with real world engineering or industrial data Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and processing workflows Strong analytical capability, able to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear insight Experience developing dashboards or reporting tools for technical and non technical users Exposure to data from physical systems such as sensors, telemetry or industrial equipment . Experience within marine, energy or industrial environments, exposure to reliability analysis or performance modelling, and familiarity with scalable or cloud based data systems would be advantageous. .
