Job description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Drama Teacher to join a high-achieving, "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated school in West London. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026 , perfect for a passionate practitioner looking to lead a vibrant department in an environment that truly champions the Performing Arts. Drama Teacher – full-time, permanent "Outstanding" Secondary School (West London) State-of-the-art facilities: Black-box studios and a professional-grade theatre High student engagement at GCSE and A-Level September 2026 start The Role The school is seeking an imaginative and dedicated Drama Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5 . Drama is a cornerstone of the school’s cultural life, and you will be expected to foster an environment where students feel confident to take creative risks and explore a wide range of practitioners. You will lead practical workshops and theory-based seminars on everything from Stanislavski and Brecht to contemporary devised theatre. A key part of this role is the leadership of a thriving extra-curricular programme, including directing major school productions, coordinating showcases, and maintaining the school’s prestigious links with local West End theatres. Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related Performing Arts field. Proven experience teaching Drama at GCSE and A-Level (familiarity with Edexcel or AQA specifications is an advantage). A versatile practitioner with skills in performance, directing, and/or technical theatre. The ability to inspire students of all abilities, fostering both academic success and artistic growth.
