Job description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Mathematics Teacher to join a highly prestigious and high-achieving secondary school in Kensington . This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026 , ideal for a mathematically gifted educator who thrives in an environment of academic rigour and intellectual challenge. Mathematics Teacher – full-time, permanent High-Performing Secondary School in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Teaching across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level) Opportunities to teach Further Mathematics for suitably qualified candidates September 2026 start The Role The school is seeking a dynamic and expert Mathematician to join a formidable faculty. Mathematics is the most popular subject at the school, with a significant number of students pursuing the subject at A-Level and beyond. You will be responsible for delivering a curriculum that balances procedural fluency with deep conceptual understanding and complex problem-solving. At KS5 , you will lead advanced sessions that prepare students for success in A-Level examinations and university entrance assessments (such as STEP or MAT). The department is known for its "maths-positive" culture, frequently participating in national challenges and hosting inter-school competitions. Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics from a top-tier university. Proven experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level . The ability to deconstruct complex theorems and make them accessible to high-ability learners. A passion for mathematical enrichment and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of STEM professionals. Excellent classroom management skills within a fast-paced academic setting.
