Job description
Are you a Finance Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a school with a strong reputation and supportive community? A well-regarded school in Southwark is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the smooth running of the school’s financial operations. Job Overview Our client in Southwark is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to start in January or earlier. This co-educational school is known for its excellent reputation and strong community ethos. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school’s finance function. You will assist with day-to-day financial processes, maintain accurate records, and support budget monitoring while ensuring compliance with financial procedures. Finance Assistant – Experience and Qualifications Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or administrative role (school finance experience desirable) Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail Experience with financial systems (e.g. FMS, PS Financials, or similar) and Microsoft Excel Ability to process invoices, manage payments, and reconcile accounts accurately Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and meet deadlines Professional and discreet when handling confidential financial information Understanding of financial procedures and compliance requirements Legal right to work in the UK Application To be considered for this Finance Assistant position, please send your CV as soon as possible.
