\n Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of adults across Gloucestershire? We are seeking a passionate Social Worker - Experienced Adults to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within adult social care, providing vital support to individuals in crisis and helping them regain control of their lives.\n

About the Role\n
\n
\n As a Social Worker - Experienced Adults, you will be responsible for responding to crisis situations, conducting home visits in the Gloucestershire area, and contributing to safeguarding front door hub work. You will help individuals connect with resources that empower independence or provide them with the support they need, always focusing on their strengths and community networks using the Three Conversation approach.\n
\n
\n This role is based primarily in the locality team, with a requirement to work in Tewkesbury three days a week, including face-to-face visits and meetings. The successful candidate will have experience with Adult Social Care, multi-agency collaboration, and court environments, particularly Court of Protection work.\n

  • Respond promptly to crises and conduct home visits within Gloucestershire
    • \n
  • Undertake safeguarding front door hub work
    • \n
  • Use the Three Conversation approach to focus on people, their strengths, and community links

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to support client needs
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate case records and adhere to legislative frameworks
    • \n
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings
    • \n
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding protocols and policies

Candidate Requirements\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
    • \n
  • Completed ASYE year or demonstrable experience in a statutory social work setting
    • \n
  • Experience in Adult Social Care, including court work (Court of Protection)
    • \n
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, models, and theories in adult social work
    • \n
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a car (exceptions under the Equality Act may apply)
    • \n

  • Competitive pay rate of £35 per hour inclusive of holiday pay or 27.44 per hour exclusive of holiday pay

  • Weekly expenses allowance of £150 (receipts required) or mileage

  • Caseload capped at 25 to ensure quality of work

  • Guaranteed 3-month placement with ongoing review
    • \n
  • Flexible, remote, and local working options (initial two weeks in-office induction)

  • Regular supervision and dedicated support from line management
