The Temporary Staffing Services of West London NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a highly skilled
Band 5 Temporary Staffing Senior Co-ordinator.
The post will require the successful candidate to co-ordinate bank and agency cover for the trust.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a very challenging and demanding
environment and to provide a professional, effective and efficient Temporary Staffing Service.
Excellent communication skills are essential as the post requires the ability to develop and
maintain professional working relationships with Bank staff, Ward/Department Managers, Clinical
Team Leader’s, Senior staff, Agency suppliers as well as Human Resource colleagues.
The ideal candidate must be proficient with various IT applications in order to use the established
E rostering process. Experience / Knowledge of working within a mental health environment is
desirable as well as a good understanding of the current trends of the temporary workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their experience and
knowledge within the Temporary staffing sector within the NHS and be part of a dedicated team
ensuring that all areas of the Trust are safely staffed.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a small team dedicated to the procurement of bank staff within the trust.
They will have supervisory responsibilities for Band 4 Co-ordinators, including providing additional guidance and training as needed.
They must possess excellent customer care skills and will work closely with our stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely booking of bank staff. They will have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written and must be able to develop highly professional relationships with key stakeholders, including our bank workers, external agencies and service managers.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 5 GSCE’s including English and maths or equivalent level of knowledge.
Desirable criteria
- Willing to undertake the ECDL and NVQ relating to customer care, administration
Experience
Essential criteria
- 6- 12 months’ experience of working in a customer focused environment, dealing with staff at all levels within and organisation
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Experience in booking shifts, working in temporary staffing or other similar experience.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- A basic awareness of current issues around temporary staffing and how this can impact on daily practice.
