Job description
A school that specialises in specialist further education in Tewkesbury is looking for a LSA to start ASAP until the end of the academic year on a fixed term contract. Pay rate is £104 - £115 per day.
This is an independent school that provides a very tailored approach. The main needs of the pupils include complex learning needs ranging from ages 7 to 21. The caring environment encourages success of both the students and the staff. This is a school that specializes in being able to support pupils in building skills to take with them into their everyday life. The aim is to help young adults to progress into their life outside of school with use of specially adapted lessons and extensive facilities.
The leadership team has a strong focus on recruiting staff with the right skills and experience to help their students prepare for the next stage of their life after school. Lessons are adapted to help students in both education and the skills they will need throughout their lives. A positive attitude paired with a caring outlook would be key in enabling students to make the most out of their time. A good learning support assistant at this school would be able to have an adaptive approach as well as a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

Role Requirements
- Experience working in a similar role
- Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with individuals with PMLD and interpret their responses and intentions
- Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrating understanding and compassion towards people with PMLD
- Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of a person with PMLD
- Possession of enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to complete one
