The Role
Bookkeeping is a core part of the firm’s end-to-end service offering. Reed Practice is proud to be working with this client to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their supportive and thriving team.
You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering accurate, timely bookkeeping services and acting as a trusted point of contact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients using software such as Xero and Sage
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC, including resolving queries
- Producing and submitting monthly management reports for clients
- Bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations
- Complete processing of sales and purchase ledgers
- Completing end-of-year reviews for manager sign-off
- Using Xero for invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
About You
This is a critical role within the business, and previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
- You may be AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- You’re confident managing multiple clients and deadlines
- You’re comfortable using cloud-based accounting software
- Accuracy, organisation, and strong communication skills are key
Experience and understanding of the accountancy practice environment are more important than formal qualifications.
