This is an 11–18 well-established, Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Nottingham, known for its strong academic performance and commitment to literacy across the curriculum. The school library is a central hub of learning, playing a key role in supporting reading, research skills, and independent study. It is a well-used, welcoming space that encourages students to engage with literature and develop lifelong learning habits.

Role overview:
As Librarian, you will manage and develop the school library, ensuring it remains an engaging and accessible resource for all students. You will promote reading for pleasure, support curriculum learning, and contribute to whole-school literacy initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the school library

  • Organise, catalogue, and maintain library resources

  • Promote reading through events, displays, and initiatives

  • Support students with research and independent study

  • Work with teaching staff to support curriculum-based resources

  • Manage library systems and monitor usage

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
