What We’re Looking For
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
7–15 years of structural engineering experience
Strong background in wood construction
Residential and multifamily project experience
California project experience preferred
AutoCAD required; Revit experience preferred
Client-facing and service-oriented mindset
Ability to lead projects independently
Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer leads the structural design and calculations for construction documents. This role is responsible for making key design decisions, coordinating with clients, and guiding internal team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering analysis and design of wood-framed structures
Develop project layouts, load paths, and structural concepts
Prepare and review plan markups and structural details
Establish loading criteria and design approach
Perform quality control reviews of plans and calculations
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and clients
Prepare calculations, reports, and construction documents
Mentor and support junior engineers
Attend client meetings and site visits as required
Review submittals and respond to RFIs
Maintain company standards and procedures
Qualifications
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
7–15 years relevant experience
PE license required (SE a plus)
Strong knowledge of wood framing systems
Experience leading residential or multifamily projects
Proficiency in structural software
Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills
