What We’re Looking For
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
3–7 years of structural engineering experience
Residential housing experience preferred
Background in wood construction
California project experience a plus
AutoCAD required; Revit experience preferred
Client and service-oriented mindset
Strong desire to grow and develop technically
Role Overview
The Structural Engineer supports the development of structural design and calculations for construction documents while working closely with senior engineers and project managers.
Responsibilities
Perform engineering analysis and design of wood structures
Assist in developing project layouts and load paths
Prepare initial plan markups and structural details
Support development of loading criteria
Perform quality control review of plans and notes
Coordinate with internal team members and consultants
Prepare calculations, reports, and technical documents
Assist with client communication as needed
Attend meetings and site visits when required
Review submittals and assist with RFIs
Maintain company standards and procedures
Qualifications
BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
3–7 years relevant experience
PE license required
Understanding of structural design principles
Experience with wood framing preferred
Proficiency in structural software
Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
