Job description

Attendance Officer – Outstanding Secondary School – Luton Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Attendance Officer to join an Outstanding secondary school in Luton. This is a vital role supporting student engagement and ensuring high levels of attendance. The successful candidate will monitor attendance, analyse trends and work closely with pastoral teams to improve outcomes. You will liaise with parents and support students in maintaining consistent attendance. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong data handling ability and a proactive approach. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated School in Luton with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse community and is known for its inclusive and supportive ethos. Students are respectful and motivated, contributing to a calm learning environment.
