Job description
We are working with a prestigious Independent School in Harrogate seeking an expert Chef Manager for an ASAP start. This is a vital leadership role in a setting that prides itself on "Pride in Achievement" and the development of the "whole person" through exceptional nutrition and care. The Role As the Chef Manager, you will lead a dedicated kitchen team to provide consistently brilliant, nutritious meals that fuel the academic day. We are looking for a culinary professional who can lead by example, overseeing everything from fine dining for school events to daily high-volume catering for pupils and staff. You will manage budgets, procurement, and stringent health and safety standards with total precision. This role requires someone who thrives in a well-ordered, scholarly atmosphere and can maintain a technology-rich catering environment. You will be expected to innovate with menus while respecting the school’s traditions and commitment to excellence. About the School This Harrogate academy is a safe and scholarly space defined by a wonderful sense of tradition and academic excellence. It provides a tranquil and well-ordered workplace where staff are proud of their work and students reach their highest potential. The leadership team takes great pride in its supportive culture and focus on humanity, treating every member of the support staff as a valued peer. Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only) Start Date: ASAP | Daily Rate: Paid based on experience (School Discretion) Requirement: Must have Right to Work in the UK and previous school experience is a must .
