The Role As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security, and general upkeep of the school buildings and grounds. Key Responsibilities: Site Security: Act as a key holder, responsible for the opening and closing of the school premises and ensuring the building is secure at all times. General Maintenance: Carry out essential repairs, minor plumbing, joinery, and painting/decorating tasks to keep the facilities in top condition. Health & Safety: Conduct regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring (Legionella prevention), and playground inspections. Contractor Liaison: Supervise external contractors on-site and monitor cleaning standards across the school. Manual Handling: Assist with the movement of furniture and the delivery of supplies around the site.
