Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Outstanding Ofsted Secondary Boys' School (with Sixth Form). Borough: Barnet Start Date: Fixed-term contract (two terms) commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & School Profile This Outstanding boys' school requires an enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a two-term contract to cover a planned sabbatical leave. The school offers a highly structured, academic curriculum and seeks a specialist capable of driving high attainment and inspiring numerical confidence across all key stages. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Equation Explorer: Delivering challenging instruction in Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level). Problem Solver: Cultivating advanced mathematical fluency, reasoning, and conceptual understanding. Tutoring Guide: Running intervention or subject clinics to ensure continuity of high academic standards. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in Mathematics and QTS. Proven experience teaching Maths to A-Level is essential. Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS), pro-rata for two terms.
