Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School. Borough: Islington (Inner London, England). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing ASAP. The Opportunity & School Profile This vibrant Islington school is seeking an Art ECT. Our robust ECT support programme focuses on visual communication, helping you lead a studio with authority and inspire creative confidence in a fast-paced urban academic setting. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Creative Excellence: Instructing Art & Design across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only. Technical Skills: Teaching a range of disciplines including fine art, digital media, and textiles. Induction Focus: Evidence-gathering for the ECF through regular reflections and structured portfolio review with your mentor. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Hold QTS. Relevant Degree in Fine Art or Design. Salary: Paid on the Teachers' Pay Scale with Inner London weighting. Support: Weekly formal mentoring and a professional-grade art studio space.
