Job description
An innovative and high-achieving secondary school in Brighton is seeking to appoint a dynamic Design & Technology Teacher to start in January 2026. This permanent, full-time position is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who can inspire students in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Graphics, and contribute to the school’s commitment to innovation and creativity. Key Details • Full-time, permanent DT Teacher position starting January 2026 • Ofsted Outstanding secondary school with excellent results in Technology subjects • Teach across KS3–KS5, including exam preparation at GCSE and A-Level • Join a successful and forward-thinking Technology department with excellent facilities Experience and Qualifications • Qualified DT Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) • Strong knowledge of at least one DT specialism, with the ability to teach across the curriculum • Confidence in using CAD/CAM software and maintaining safe workshop practices • Track record of delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student achievement • Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities and STEM projects • Excellent classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted Outstanding with a reputation for innovation and academic excellence • Superb DT facilities including modern workshops, CAD suites, 3D printers, and laser cutters • A culture of creativity and problem-solving, preparing students for future careers in STEM fields • Senior leadership team committed to professional development, career progression, and staff wellbeing • Highly motivated students who enjoy practical learning and achieve consistently strong results • Strong links with local businesses and universities to enhance the Technology curriculum Salary • Paid to scale on MPS/UPS Application • To be considered for this DT Teacher role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
