Job description
An Outstanding Girls' school in Barnet is seeking an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful English Teacher will cultivate a love for literature and language in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of literary genres and language skills. Prepare students effectively for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations, fostering a deep appreciation of texts. Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and articulate communication. Assess and monitor student progress in English, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback as an English Teacher. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature. Demonstrated experience in teaching English at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of English literature, language, and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a love of reading and writing as an English Teacher. Benefits Outer London Payscale.
