Job description
DT Teacher – Specialized, well-equipped independent school – Watford Our client seeks an expert Design & Technology Teacher to join a specialized and academically rigorous independent school in Watford. This is a full-time, permanent role starting January 2026. • DT Teacher required full‑time from January 2026 • Prestigious independent school in Watford • Join a forward‑thinking and well-resourced DT department This is a remarkable opportunity for a DT specialist to teach across KS3, KS4 and possibly KS5. You will lead in design, materials, CAD/CAM, product design and practical making, encouraging creativity, innovation and technical excellence. The department aims to push students not just in craft, but in design thinking, sustainability, prototyping and entrepreneurship. Both experienced teachers and those with strong technical or industry experience are welcomed. Experience and Qualifications • Qualified DT Teacher with QTS or equivalent • Strong technical and creative skills in product design, materials, CAD/CAM etc. • Experience across KS3–KS4; KS5 desirable but not essential • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This independent school in Watford is known for high academic expectations, modern facilities and specialist provision.
