Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in Southampton is seeking a Business & Economics ECT to join its supportive and growing department. This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent early career support. Business & Economics ECT required – full-time, permanent Ofsted Good 11–18 secondary school in Southampton Supportive ECT programme with strong mentoring Growing uptake at GCSE and A-Level September 2026 start The Role You will teach Business and Economics across KS4, with opportunities to support KS5 as your experience develops. The school provides a structured ECT induction, including mentoring, reduced timetable, and regular CPD sessions. About the School The school has around 1,200 students and a developing sixth form. It is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff culture, and commitment to student success. Behaviour is good, and leadership is approachable and supportive. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A degree in Business, Economics or related subject Strong communication and organisational skills A passion for teaching and student achievement Willingness to learn and develop as an ECT Commitment to high standards Experience and Qualifications PGCE in relevant subject (or equivalent) QTS (or on track to achieve) Application A great opportunity for a Business & Economics ECT to join a supportive school.
