Job description
DT Technician required from January 2026 to work on a full-time, permanent basis Outstanding Secondary School in Reading Fantastic opportunity for a creative and skilled technician to support an innovative Design & Technology Department We are seeking a Design & Technology Technician to join a thriving and ambitious school in Reading . This full-time, permanent position is ideal for an individual with practical skills and a passion for supporting design, engineering, and innovation in education. Experience and Qualifications • Previous experience in a workshop, design, or engineering environment • Knowledge of materials, machinery, and health and safety regulations • Skilled in using CAD/CAM, 3D printers, and general hand tools • Excellent organisational and teamwork skills • Relevant technical qualification desirable School Information This Outstanding Reading school is recognised for its academic excellence, innovation, and modern facilities . The DT Department is one of the school’s most creative faculties, with well-equipped workshops, digital design suites, and a strong emphasis on sustainability. The DT Technician will work closely with teaching staff to prepare resources, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe, efficient learning environment.
