Job description
Are you a dynamic Business & Economics teacher with a passion for enterprise, finance and real-world learning? Do you want to help young people understand how businesses operate and how economic forces shape the world? If so, we’d love to talk. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Business & Economics to join an 11–18 Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Watford from January 2026 . This is a permanent role, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with a potential TLR for KS5 or curriculum leadership for the right candidate. About the School This high-performing school has a thriving Sixth Form and a strong reputation for academic success. Behaviour is excellent, expectations are high, and students are keen to learn. The Business & Economics department is well-established, with healthy numbers at GCSE and A-Level, and a curriculum that blends theory with practical application, including enterprise projects and links with local businesses. The Role Position: Teacher of Business & Economics Location: Watford Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered TLR: Available for KS5 / Curriculum Development (for the right candidate) As our Business & Economics Teacher, you will: Teach GCSE Business and A-Level Business and/or Economics . Plan engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world case studies. Support students in developing strong analytical, numerical and essay-writing skills. Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations. Contribute to enrichment such as enterprise clubs, competitions and trips. (If applicable) Lead on KS5 planning, schemes of work or assessment. What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants who: Hold QTS , with experience in Business and/or Economics. Have excellent subject knowledge and up-to-date awareness of business and economic issues. Are organised, reflective and committed to high standards. Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Are interested in contributing to enrichment and employer links. Are open to leadership responsibilities if seeking a TLR.
