About the School A highly regarded and forward-thinking 11–18 secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking an innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join their Creative Technologies Faculty from January 2026. The school, with 1,350 pupils and a Progress 8 score of +0.58, is known for its commitment to academic excellence, sustainability, and hands-on learning. The DT Department is one of the most vibrant areas of the school, recently refurbished with industry-standard equipment and 3D printing technology. About the Role This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to teach DT across KS3–KS5, specialising in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering. The appointed teacher will inspire students to develop creativity, problem-solving ability, and technical proficiency through project-based learning. You will guide GCSE and A-Level coursework, fostering innovation and confidence in design principles. The department benefits from a strong technician team and advanced workshops, including CAD/CAM facilities, CNC routers, and laser cutters. Collaboration between DT, Computer Science, and Art supports an interdisciplinary approach to creativity and technology.
