Full-time, Permanent - September 2025 Start Are you a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology with a passion for inspiring students to design, create, and innovate? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our thriving D&T department in a secondary school in Richmond. About the School: Our school is a dynamic learning community where students are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop their practical skills, and apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment where students can experiment with different materials and technologies, design and build prototypes, and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. About the D&T Department: The Design & Technology department is a collaborative and inspiring team with a shared commitment to fostering students' creativity, innovation, and practical skills. We offer a rich and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of D&T specialisms, including product design, electronics, and textiles. We have well-equipped workshops and studios with access to the latest technologies and resources. About the Role: Teach Design & Technology, with a focus on Product Design, across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for teaching at Key Stage 5. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons. Guide and support students in using a range of tools, equipment, and materials. Encourage students to apply their knowledge of design principles. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback. Contribute to the department's curriculum development. Foster a love of Design & Technology in students. Work collaboratively with colleagues. Participate in professional development opportunities. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Design & Technology. Demonstrates a passion for teaching D&T. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
