About the Role As Attendance & Admissions Officer , you will support the effective management of attendance and admissions systems, ensuring information is accurate, timely and handled professionally. You will work closely with pastoral leaders, safeguarding staff and senior leaders to ensure concerns are identified early and followed up consistently. Key responsibilities will include: Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality, ensuring rapid, accurate follow-up of absence Making first-day calls and maintaining clear records of communications and outcomes Supporting attendance meetings, action plans and persistent absence strategies Liaising with families to address barriers to attendance and promote strong routines Supporting admissions processes, including applications, transfers and record management Maintaining accurate pupil records and ensuring compliance with school procedures Producing reports and attendance/admissions information to support decision-making Liaising with external agencies and local authority teams where appropriate Ensuring attendance and admissions systems support safeguarding and student wellbeing This role requires excellent organisation, strong attention to detail and the confidence to communicate sensitively and consistently with families. The Team You will join a supportive team that works closely across admin, pastoral and safeguarding to ensure students are well supported.
