Job description
An Outstanding-rated secondary school in Dorchester is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join its highly successful DT Department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in a school known for its exceptional standards, strong leadership, and commitment to high-quality practical learning. Design & Technology Teacher required Outstanding secondary school based in Dorchester Highly regarded and well-resourced DT department The role involves teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience and specialism (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics). You will deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, promote safe workshop practice, and support students in developing creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in Design & Technology or a related subject Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Strong knowledge of workshop practice, CAD/CAM, and health & safety Ability to inspire students and maintain high classroom standards Willingness to contribute to enrichment activities and departmental development School Information This Outstanding school in Dorchester is recognised for its exceptional leadership, high academic standards, and positive learning environment.
