Job description
The Role: Full-time Geography Teacher position, with a focus on curriculum innovation and development up to KS5. Deliver Geography lessons up to KS5 and contribute to the review and enhancement of the Geography curriculum. Provide excellent support and mentorship to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) within the department. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies, incorporating digital resources and technology. Foster a love of Geography among students, encouraging them to explore diverse perspectives and mathematical interpretations. The Ideal Candidate: An enthusiastic and creative Geography specialist with a passion for curriculum development. Strong understanding of the Geography curriculum up to KS5 and assessment requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues. Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs. Commitment to providing excellent support and mentorship to ECTs. Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it. Degree in Geography or a related field. Experience teaching Geography up to KS5 (for experienced teachers) or a strong interest in teaching at KS5 (for ECTs). Knowledge of current educational technologies and their application in the classroom. Eligibility to work in the UK.
