Job description

Start Date: Immediate A forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham is looking for an experienced DT Teacher to join their dedicated team. The school prides itself on fostering an environment of innovation, creativity, and high academic standards. The Role: The DT Teacher will be responsible for teaching DT across KS3 to KS4, with the potential to specialize in areas like Product Design, Textiles, or Resistant Materials at KS5. The DT Teacher will deliver engaging lessons and inspire students to develop their practical and creative skills. School Overview: • Innovative Environment: A focus on creativity and practical skills development. • Well-Equipped Facilities: The DT Department features modern workshops and resources to support DT teaching. • Supportive Teaching Team: Strong professional development and a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: • Teach DT at KS3 and KS4, specializing in your area of expertise as a DT Teacher. • Develop engaging and hands-on lessons as a DT Teacher that encourage creativity and problem-solving. • Contribute to the DT curriculum and support extracurricular DT activities as a DT Teacher. Requirements and Qualifications: • A formal teaching qualification and QTS. • Legal right to work in the UK and a clear DBS check.
