A prestigious and academically focused Girls' School in Westminster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic MFL Teacher specializing in German to join our successful Languages department. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging German lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that incorporate authentic resources, cultural experiences, and interactive language practice. Facilitate interactive language practice, encouraging students to develop fluency, accuracy, and confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing German. Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including oral presentations, written assignments, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the German curriculum, ensuring it aligns with current language teaching methodologies and cultural trends. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as German clubs, film screenings, cultural events, and trips abroad, to enhance student learning and promote cultural immersion. Collaborate with colleagues within the Languages department and across the school to promote language learning and intercultural understanding. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in German or Modern Foreign Languages. Extensive experience teaching German to GCSE and A-Level, with a proven track record of achieving excellent student results. Native or near-native fluency in German and a deep understanding of German culture. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A passion for promoting language learning, intercultural understanding, and global citizenship. Ability to use technology effectively to enhance language teaching and learning.
