Business & Economics Teacher – Mentor High-Achieving Leaders - Newham A highly regarded, academic independent Specialized Sixth Form College, in Newham, is recruiting a Business and Economics Teacher from January 2026. Business & Economics Specialist required from January 2026 Specialized Independent Sixth Form College with a focus on competitive university entry Ideal for a teacher with a highly commercial mindset and exceptional examination technique You will teach A-Level Business Studies and A-Level Economics (focusing on A*-A attainment). The role includes running bespoke sessions on financial literacy, investment, and leading student participation in prestigious business essay competitions . Experience and Qualifications A strong degree and significant experience in teaching A-Level Economics to high achievers Proven ability to integrate current commercial affairs and global financial analysis into teaching Experience in a pastoral role (e.g., Form Tutor) with academic oversight Outstanding ability to mentor students through rigorous interview processes School Information The college boasts one of the highest university progression rates in the country, creating an environment defined by focus and aspiration.
