Job description
A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced and efficient Attendance & Admissions Officer to join the school on a full time, permanent basis as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key administrative role within a supportive school community where organisation, communication, and safeguarding are highly valued. The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing attendance processes and coordinating admissions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities Monitoring and tracking pupil attendance, identifying patterns and concerns Liaising with parents regarding attendance and punctuality Maintaining accurate attendance records using the school’s MIS system Managing the admissions process, including applications, offers, and transitions Supporting safeguarding procedures related to attendance Producing attendance reports for senior leadership and governors Working closely with the Headteacher and office team to ensure smooth administration The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a school administrative role Strong knowledge of attendance procedures and admissions processes Experience using school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom) Excellent organisational and communication skills A professional, discreet, and approachable manner Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities This primary school in Hillingdon is known for its supportive leadership, positive staff culture, and strong relationships with families. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the wider school team.
