Job description
Drama & English Teacher – Outstanding School in Manchester – ASAP Start! An outstanding school in Manchester is seeking a talented and versatile Drama & English Teacher to join its successful department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to teach engaged and motivated pupils in a high-performing environment where academic standards and creative expression are equally valued. Both English and Drama are strong subjects within the school, with pupils achieving excellent outcomes and actively participating in performances, productions, and literary enrichment. The Role Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 Teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in both practical and academic settings Supporting pupils with coursework, exam preparation, and performance work Contributing to school productions, showcases, and enrichment activities Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in English, Drama, or a related subject Experience teaching English and/or Drama at secondary level Strong classroom management and confident subject knowledge High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress A professional, organised, and adaptable teaching approach School Information This outstanding school in Manchester is known for its excellent academic outcomes, exemplary behaviour, and strong leadership.
