An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science and Maths Teacher to join a well-established and high-achieving independent school. The Role As a Science and Maths Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that bring these subjects to life for students across Years 4-8. You will also be teaching Maths to Year 4 , providing a foundation for their future learning in the subject. Key Responsibilities - Teach Science (Years 4-8) and Maths (Year 4) , planning and delivering engaging, effective, and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of all learners. - Assess and track student progress , providing regular, constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the curriculum, ensuring it meets high educational standards. - Maintain an inspiring and disciplined classroom environment , where students are encouraged to participate and explore their full potential. - Engage in extracurricular activities related to Science and Maths, offering students additional learning opportunities beyond the classroom. - Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff , communicating effectively about progress and celebrating achievements. Key Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - A degree in Science or Maths (or a closely related field). - Previous experience teaching Science at Key Stage 2/3 (Years 4-8) and Maths to Year 4. - Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience tailoring lessons to suit varying abilities. - A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. - Excellent communication skills, both with students and parents. - A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and professional development.
