Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Sociology and Health and Social Care (HSC) Teacher passionate about inspiring students? We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable teacher to join a thriving and expanding department in an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” school in Leicester, starting in September 2025. About the Sociology & HSC Department: The Sociology and Health and Social Care department is a collaborative, supportive, and driven team dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of these important subjects. The department has a strong record of achieving excellent results, and we are looking for a teacher who can contribute to continuing this success. Professional development opportunities are readily available, and the team encourages innovative teaching practices. Responsibilities: Teach Sociology and Health and Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students Assess and monitor student progress Provide pastoral care and undertake form tutor responsibilities Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Sociology, Health and Social Care, or a related field PGCE or QTS Experience teaching Sociology and Health and Social Care to KS4 and KS5 students ECTs are encouraged to apply Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale Application: If you are an enthusiastic and motivated Sociology and Health and Social Care teacher eager to join a supportive and high-achieving school, we would love to hear from you.
