Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Health and Social Care (HSC) Teacher looking for a new opportunity to teach students at KS4 and KS5? This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting chance to contribute to the development of students in a supportive and dynamic environment. Key Information: Position: Health and Social Care Teacher (KS4 and KS5) Start Date: April or sooner Location: Nottingham Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, Permanent School Information: The school is committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students and staff. The Health and Social Care department is dedicated to inspiring students to pursue careers in healthcare and social services, while encouraging a compassionate approach to learning and development. About the Role: As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching the curriculum to KS4 and KS5 students, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level exams. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the department and help guide students in their learning journey, preparing them for careers in healthcare, social care, and related fields. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons to KS4 and KS5 students in Health and Social Care Develop and implement effective lesson plans and schemes of work Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's offerings and student outcomes Experience and Qualifications: Degree in Health and Social Care, or a related field QTS or PGCE (or relevant teaching qualification) Experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 (or a passion to develop this) Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills A commitment to professional development and student success Why Join Us?
