Art Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start) Are you a passionate and innovative Art Teacher eager to inspire creativity in a Boys' secondary school in Hammersmith? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Art department, starting September 2025. This is a chance to develop the artistic skills and appreciation of art in young men, fostering their creativity and self-expression. Our Art department is a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to providing a rich and diverse art education, encouraging students to explore a wide range of artistic media and techniques. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital art, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and resources, ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse interests of our students. Foster a love of art in students, encouraging them to develop their artistic skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and visits to galleries and museums. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Art and Design examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and artistic skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all artistic abilities. A commitment to fostering creativity and self-expression in young men. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
