Job description
Our client is seeking a motivated and creative Design & Technology ECT to join an inclusive and welcoming secondary school in Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher looking to begin their teaching career in a school that values practical learning, creativity, and strong support for new teachers. The school has a positive reputation for inclusion, collaboration, and staff development, and offers a structured induction programme to help ECTs grow in confidence and classroom practice. The Role Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons Supporting pupils with design projects and coursework Promoting safe working practices and high standards in workshops Developing confident classroom routines and positive behaviour management Working closely with experienced colleagues and technicians within the DT department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be on track to qualify as an ECT A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject The ability to teach DT across KS3 and KS4 A positive, reflective approach to teaching and learning Willingness to take feedback on board and develop professionally Good organisational skills and a calm, supportive teaching style School Information This secondary school in Salisbury is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong sense of community.
