Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering highly differentiated, personalised lessons for pupils with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties and autism
  • Supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory processing differences, and physical or medical needs (full training provided)
  • Implementing structured learning activities, therapeutic programmes, and multi‑sensory curriculum approaches
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing, safety, and positive engagement throughout the school day
  • Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility, and independence where required
  • Using calm, consistent, and nurturing approaches to build trust and reduce barriers to learning
  • Working collaboratively with LSAs, therapists, and wider support teams across both school sites
  • Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to EHCP reviews and target setting
