Job description
A popular and community-focused secondary school in Blackburn is seeking an experienced Admissions and Attendance Lead to join its pastoral and administrative team from January 2026. This role plays a crucial part in safeguarding, student engagement and family communication. The Role You will oversee admissions processes and attendance monitoring, working closely with pastoral leaders, external agencies and families. Key responsibilities include: Managing admissions, transitions and pupil movement Monitoring attendance data and identifying trends Supporting attendance improvement strategies Liaising with families and external agencies Producing reports for senior leaders and governors The School The school has strong pastoral systems, clear expectations and a supportive leadership team. Attendance is treated as a shared responsibility, not an isolated function.
