Job description

About the team

The Commercial & Digital Operational Excellence & Improvement team sits at the heart of some of the most dynamic transformation activity at Argos. The team works across Commercial, Digital, Technology and wider functions to ensure change is designed thoughtfully, communicated clearly and embedded effectively into day‑to‑day ways of working. Our focus is on helping colleagues adopt change with confidence, delivering meaningful improvements for both customers and our global colleague community.

More about the role

As an Improvement & Training Lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of transformational change by designing and coordinating engaging training, communication and engagement solutions. Working in a matrix environment alongside Senior Improvement Managers, Process Owners and cross‑functional project teams, you’ll help translate change into clear, practical and accessible outcomes for colleagues.

Day to day, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial & Digital, Technology and other partner teams to understand requirements, map processes and identify the most effective ways to support change adoption. You’ll produce high‑quality training and communication materials, coordinate engagement and awareness activity, and ensure deliverables are planned, delivered and stored in line with agreed standards. You’ll also gather and act on feedback, continuously improving content and delivery, and experimenting with new techniques and tooling to enhance how training and communications are delivered.

More about you

You bring experience from a training, change management or communications background and enjoy working in fast‑paced, evolving environments. You’re comfortable working autonomously, highly organised and able to prioritise effectively across multiple pieces of work, while maintaining strong attention to detail.

You’re creative, curious and passionate about continuous improvement, with a keen interest in innovative training, communication and engagement methods. You’re confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and using visual, written and digital approaches to influence understanding and adoption of change. You’re motivated by improving colleague experience and enjoy testing, learning and refining solutions to deliver better outcomes.

Essential criteria

  • Experience designing and delivering training, change or communication materials that support new or evolving ways of working
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver multiple pieces of work to agreed timelines in a deadline‑driven environment
  • Strong written communication skills, including producing clear guidance, training content and step‑by‑step procedures
  • Experience gathering and acting on colleague or end‑user feedback to improve engagement and change adoption
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build understanding of operating models, processes and system solutions
