Job description
A successful Co-educational State School in the picturesque Richmond area requires an innovative and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking, practical skills, and understanding of technological processes. * **About Our Learning Community:** Our popular and oversubscribed school is committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum. The Design & Technology department is well-equipped and focused on fostering students' creativity and practical abilities. * **About the Role:** * Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering areas such as product design, resistant materials, electronics, and potentially graphics or textiles. * Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage students to explore design briefs, experiment with materials, and utilize a variety of tools and techniques. * Assess student progress through project work, design portfolios, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback. * Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives. * **Ideal Candidate:** * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology or a closely related field. * A good understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and current technologies relevant to the secondary D&T curriculum. * Excellent communication, organizational, and practical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. * Proficiency in using relevant design software and workshop equipment. * **Benefits:** * Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience. * Access to well-equipped Design & Technology workshops and resources within a supportive school environment. * **To Apply:** Please send your CV
