Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Studies & Economics ECT to join a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in Bexley. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026 , offering excellent mentoring, structured support, and professional development to help you launch your teaching career successfully. Business Studies & Economics ECT required to work full-time Outstanding mixed secondary school in Bexley Join a successful and well-resourced Business Studies & Economics department with a comprehensive ECT induction programme This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic new teacher to begin their career in a school renowned for its academic excellence, supportive ethos, and innovative approach to teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies & Economics across KS3 and KS4 , with potential to contribute to A-Level Business Studies & Economics for suitable candidates. Experience and Qualifications • Business Studies & Economics ECT (PGCE or equivalent completed) • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Business Studies & Economics education • Commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional growth • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This 11–18 mixed secondary school in Bexley is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and has an exceptional reputation for academic achievement and pastoral care. With approximately 1,400 students on roll and a thriving Sixth Form, the school is oversubscribed and consistently delivers excellent results. In 2024, 78% of students achieved grades 9–5 in GCSE Business Studies & Economics , reflecting the department’s strong teaching standards and commitment to excellence.
