Job description
We are working with a high-performing mixed secondary school in Barnet recruiting for a Female PE ECT. The school boasts exceptional sporting facilities and a highly competitive fixtures programme. The school is deeply committed to empowering young women through physical excellence, leadership, and teamwork, making it an ideal environment for a passionate female educator. The ECT Experience The school’s PE induction is highly practical and immersive, designed to help you balance classroom theory with high-energy coaching. Structured Coaching: You will be mentored by a senior PE lead who will help you develop your techniques across a wide range of sports. Professional Study: Protected time each week to focus on the ECF modules, with a specific focus on the biomechanics and sports psychology aspects of the curriculum. Departmental Integration: You will be a full member of the PE team from day one, involved in all aspects of fixture planning and departmental strategy. The Role & Department You will deliver high-quality PE lessons across the secondary age range and take a proactive role in the school’s competitive fixtures. Theory Teaching: Delivering the academic components of GCSE and A-Level PE, utilizing the school’s high-spec fitness suite and testing equipment. Elite Performance: Coaching school teams in Netball, Hockey, and Athletics, and managing regional tournaments. Salary Range: £37,868 – £56,154 (M1 – UPS3)
