About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager/Owner to lead the strategic direction and continuous improvement of Xceedance’s AI powered technology platform. This role sits at the intersection of insurance operations, technology, and business strategy, requiring someone who can translate complex insurance requirements into actionable product features while driving digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Work with other Product Owners to align developments
  • Co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders to identify trends in insurance technology, regulatory changes, and competitive positioning
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for system adoption, operational efficiency, and business value delivery
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure that Product strategy supports broader organisational goals

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units (Implementation & core development) and technology teams
  • Facilitate user group sessions internally across various domain leaders
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with internal stakeholders and customer service teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, integration partners, and regulatory bodies when appropriate.
  • Present product updates and strategic recommendations to Leadership team and Delivery managers

Product Development & Delivery

  • Write and prioritise user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed functional requirements for policy lifecycle management features
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning activities in an Agile environment
  • Make critical decisions on feature trade-offs, technical debt management, and release scope
  • Perform engaging demonstration of platform capabilities to internal and external stakeholders

Domain Expertise Application

  • Ensure the system supports various insurance products and their unique workflows
  • Understand business domain model and data structure of insurance workflows
  • Champion best practices in policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements
  • Optimise system performance for quote-to-bind ratios, straight-through processing rates, and policy administration efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Product management experience, with at least 3 years in insurance technology
  • Understanding of insurance operations, including underwriting workflows and policy lifecycle management
  • Experience with Business process modelling and process re-engineering
  • Ideally have proven experience with modern Core platforms (BPA, DuckCreek or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business needs for technical teams
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional insurance designations (CPCU, AIC, or similar)
  • Experience with API-first architectures and system integrations
  • Knowledge of InsurTech trends including automated underwriting, Gen AI & ML applications, and digital distribution channels
  • Understanding of actuarial concepts and rating algorithm implementation
  • Experience with cloud-based Insurtech solutions and SaaS/PaaS delivery models
  • Familiarity with insurance data standards (ACORD, ISO) and regulatory reporting requirements

Technical Competencies

  • Understanding of high level platform architecture, data models, and integration patterns
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis
  • Knowledge of APIs, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboard creation
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements for insurance systems

Success Metrics

This role will be measured on delivering improvements in all aspects of the core platform and products, system adoption rates, straight-through processing percentages, user satisfaction scores, and successful delivery of roadmap initiatives within budget and timeline constraints.
